Blowing the trumpet
The trumpet or shofar was blown in Israel to wake up and rally the people of God in times of national distress. Verses similar to Joel 2:1 abound in scripture, “Blow the trumpet in Zion and sound an alarm in My holy mountain…”
Many Christians in this country with the spirit of Issachar (1Chron. 12:32) discern the signs of the times and are awaiting someone to blow the trumpet and rally the people to pray. The least we can do is pray, to raise up a standard around the clock for this nation.
